Joining a Philippine Community

I was invited to a Filipino party yesterday. It took ten months to join a Filipino community first time since I came to the Marshall Islands.

There are about 500 Filipino in Majuro. It is 1% of the population of the Marshall Islands. On the other hand, there are around 50 Japanese in Majuro.

I heard that the aim of some foreign people staying in the Marshall Islands is to receive an U.S. permanent residency called Green Card which provides the right to work in the U.S. and social security as well as an U.S citizen.

However, as far as I know, there is no Japanese who has the aim in the Marshall Islands.
